This...is a warning to all those of east county san diego. Theres something sinister out there in the desolate roads out there. Stay away from Lyons valley road...at all costs. Under no circumstances are you to travel this backroad or any near it, alone and especially NEVER, alone at night.
To get started I think it will help with the... understanding.. of this story to tell you a little but about my self. I'm an 18 year old male, 200lbs and standing at 6 feet tall. I've played sports all my life, so I'm not and never have been one to be afraid of things. Especially any animals, I have a special talent with animals which allows to me thrive in my job. I never show fear or lose my head when confronted with animals which allows me to take and train all types of animals from dogs and horses to wolves and elephants. But enough with my life story... lets get to why you are all here.
December of 2018
Arghhh I dont get this homework... why do we even use so my letters in math. Isnt it supposed to be numbers! Jeez I know it's my fault for not paying attention in class but there was this girl that I was infatuated by but she didnt know that...welll... at least not yet.. wow her sparkly blue eyes along with a dimpled smile and a small freckle on her left cheek...and her hair wow, her long blonde wavy hair was gorgeous... "hey(we'll call myself cameron as I do not want my name being tagged with this encounter) earth to cam earth to Cameron" my mom says in an almost mocking tone. "Oh uhhhh hi mom. What's up" I say with a bit of fluster in my voice."oh nothing just wanted to let you know that dinner's ready" she says sweetly "thanks mom but I think I'm going to go for a drive to clear my head. This assignment is really giving me a hard time. I say as I walk towards the key rack we keep on the left of the front door just above a bench where we keep our shoes under. "Okay! But make sure to take the truck, your father needs the car to load up for work" she yells out from inside the kitchen where she still stood. "Okay Fine.." I say in defeate. I sit down onto the bench and grab the navy blue lanyard we keep the truck keys attached to along with a little "lost" surfboard keychain. I put on my red low top vans and grab my high school hoodie. Walking out the door I say " I'll be back in an hour or two dont wait up for me" I close the door and walk down the drive way to the truck. I get in and drive off. (I'll save you three boring information of the car ride as it was like any car ride filled with music and embarrassingly loud singing)
okay so after about 15 minutes of driving I finally made it passed the last sign of modern living in the form of the Hollywood casino. Driving down the road it was extremely dark, like the kind of dark that makes you drive slower even though it's a paved road. Driving passed xows and horse ranches getting whiffs of that God awful stench of well... you get the picture. Nothing felt off going into the drive nor did it whilst on the drive...until I turned on THAT road. A road which I have driven down hundreds of times to cut what would be a 45 minute loop down to a 30 minute loop back to my house.
I like to drive with my windows down to hear all the creatures making noises outside because it calms me, but as soon as I turned down the road it seemed to have been a pocket of deafness. Not a sound was made by any creature not always nor crickets. Instantly I had gotten the worst feeling I had ever gotten in my life. It felt like primordial fear. Which at the time I did not know what I was feeling and I understand that that feeling, was dread. I felt panicked and scared for seemingly no reason. I didnt understand why I was feeling this way until my headlights caught a flicker of light reflecting back at me from up in an oak tree. In fact there were two sources if the reflection. As I got closer I could makeout that they were eyes. Usually I would right it off as just s raccoon as they are quite common put here, but the feeling of dread kept getting worse as I drove forward. I started to slow down. There were two feelings I had at this moment...fear and...curiosity. oddly enough I was entranced by the eyes. I felt as though they were bekenning me to come closer. The car was now at crawling speed as I slowly creep up to the tree in question
. Now sitting a mere 15 feet away from the tree but unable to see any reflections any more. The tree was off to the left side of the road on a sharp 15 mile an hour turn. I began to feel my curiosity slip away and my fear to take over. I was frantically looking everywhere to see where this...thing went. It couldnt have gone far there were on 2 trees and a few bushes around them but behind that was just a flat plane of grass. I should have been able to see it run off if it had. Shouldnt I? No matter I stop my thinking and roll up my windows just realizing that they were still rolled down. Then began to creep forward some more looking around to see if I could find this...thing anywhere. As my lights begin to fix onto the second tree I see the eyes again. Now i was certain this was just some normal animal. Its eyes were too big to be a raccoon, possum or owl which would be the normal things hanging up in a tree at night. Although I thought maybe it was a coyote but that thought got interrupted as I started to see the eyes move. I sit in utter silence watching with wide eyes tracking where this thing was going. It seemed to be climbing down the tree. As it gets lower I gulp and grasp the steering wheel firmly in suspense of what would emerge from the tree. Tome was going by ever so slowly waiting on this THING to show itself. Finally after what felt like 20 minutes the creature dropped put of the tree. Not in a controlled way it just...fell down
. I didnt get to get a good look at the thing as it fell straight behind a Bush so I roll down one window to see if I could hear anything. Still no noise from any other animals but I could hear one noise.. a sort of...cooing. is the best term I can think of to describe it. But not a normal cooing it sounded like it was in pain. Thinking it was an animal in pain I wanted to see if I could help since it is my job to care for animals I thought it was a good idea but o couldn't have been more wrong. I should have just kept moving and forget about it. I made a mistake that have haunted my nightmares ever since then. I got out of my truck leaving the keys in and the door open so the lights would stay on. I slowly walk over to the area of which the noise seemed to be coming from. I talk to it as to make myself known in order not to spook it. At this point I made it to just 5 feet away from the Bush in which it lay behind. I hesitate taking a moment to calm myself down and determine how I should approach but I was cut short by a deep unearthly groan. Frozen in fear the leaves start rustling and this ...THING,I dont know how else to explain it, slowly stood up. The creature was horrid. The embodiment of all nightmares that we have been told was a product of our overactive imagination. Boy were we wrong.
Nightmares did not do this thing before me justice. Stand at almost 8 feet tall towering over me was this emaciated humanoid creature. Its skin was stretched around the bones of the creature exposing each and every bone feature. Its arms were so elongated that I could not see the hands as they were being blocked from my view by the Bush. I refused to look up at its face. I could already tell just by looking at the body that it would be horrifying. Still frozen in place I stare in terror at its body until the creature finally make a move. It began outsteetching its arm revealing hands with with long fingers and claws at the end. It pointed at me and began to...laugh? in a hellish tone that caused my ears do feel as though they were going to explode. I winced in pain covering my ears until it stopped. I uncovered my wars and opened my eyes to the creature now in front of the Bush showing its entire naked and emaciated body. Even though it was fully exposed there was nothing where the human genetailia should have been. I keep avoiding its face but unable to look away from the creature once more. It said in the deepest sounding voice I had ever heard. It was just unearthly. It said. "Look at my face boy" in a tone that made it seem as though this...thing was toying with me. I ignored the request and kept looking down until it screamed in its demon like voice LOOK AT ME . I looked up slowly towards its face with tears streaming down my face. As soon as I lay my eyes upon its face.. I start uncontrollably vomiting.
The thing had black eyes fully black eyes as though it was just one large pupil. Oh God and the mouth. The mouth was the worst part of this creature. Its lips were torn up reveling its pointed teeth. It looked so though each one of its teeth were made from k9s and sharpened to a razor point. It just laughed st me in its booming voice. At this point I knew. I had to get out of there. I had to do something or else I was not coming home that night. Or any. Remembering that my car door is still open and the emergency brake is already off I booked it to my car which was only 10 feet away. I thought I would be safe if i made it inside. I was wrong. As soon as I got in a closed the door I had realised that the window was open but I made the choice to just put it in drive and speed off. I made it around the corner and started down the road trying to get away from the creature as fast as possible. I thought I had gotten away until I felt my car bounce as if something heavy had just been dropped in the back.
Before I knew it the creature was sticking its hands in through my window swinging it arms at my trying grab me. It got a hold of my shirt and started pulling. I could hear him saying "I've got you now. I cant be letting my prey get away now can i" I grab onto his hand with my right hand whilst trying to keep the car stead with my left. I tried pulling him off of me but my attempts were futile. It was much much stronger than me. I look around for my knife I keep handy in my car when i go out on my own. A 7inch bladed bowie knife. I slide it out of the sheath and stab it into the arm of the creature and it let's out this hellish scream deadening my ears and leaving them ringing. It swiped at me in anger with its other arm and managed to slice three of its claws into my chest but before feel9ng the pain I drive the knife through the creatures forearm causing it to lose its grip and fly out of the bed of the truck. Not feeling the pain because of all the adrenalin flowing through my body I floor it and speed off down the road. I finally decide to roll up the window just in case the creature decides to come back.
I was lucky I had gotten into a more populated area so there were street lights and I could breathe easily now. I had escaped death. I dont know how I was able to get away from it but I thank god for the life I'm able to live now. Stay away from backroads at night especially the ones in jamul...you might not get as lucky...

Here is another list of people that dropped out of high school or college. They have gone on to make more money then the rest of their graduating class all together:
Alan Gerry is another billionaire high school dropout. Gerry 71 also filled his bank account by exploiting a new technology. In 1956, ten years after he dropped out of high school, Gerry built the first cable television network in upstate New York. He made his fortune in this new market, and then sold his company, Cablevision, to Time Warner for $2.6 billion four years ago. Now Gerry is chairman of a venture capital firm called Granite Associates. Granite funds entrepreneurs trying to make their money in burgeoning technology industries, just as Gerry made his fortune by getting into cable when it was still in its infancy.
When you have a brilliant idea, nobody is going to ask to see your diploma, Gerry says. You don’t need a four-year college degree if you have burning ambition or a great plan.
Take Spud King John R. Simplot. Simplot, was born on an Idaho farm and left home when he was 14 because he was sick of milking cows.†Simplot followed that with a half century of hard work and shrewd investments, he made a killing in Micron (nyse: MU – news – people ). How important was education to his success? Hell, he says, I didn’t even get out of the eighth grade.
Tom Monaghan owner of Dominioes and former owner of the Detroit Tigers:
I floundered during the rest of high school and graduated last in my class. They weren’t even going to graduate me, but I pleaded with a nun. She said, Well, you got good marks in the seminary, so I’ll let you graduate. But don’t ever ask me to recommend you for college.
One day in 1960, my brother told me about a pizza shop in Ypsilanti, Mich., called Dominoes, that a friend of his was selling. My brother was interested but afraid to do it on his own, so he asked if I’d do it with him. I was having problems paying my way through school, so I said yes. It was $500 down, and we borrowed $900. I got a 15-minute lesson in making pizza from Dominick, and I was off. We opened up without an attorney. I didn’t even collect sales tax “didn’t know I had to. The plan was for me to work half the night and my brother to work the other half. But it didn’t work because he didn’t want to leave his full-time job as a mailman. Within about eight months he wanted out, and I bought him out by giving him the Volkswagen we used for deliveries.
Most of you probably know that Dave Thomas the founder of Wendys was a high school dropout.
Peter Jennings-High School Dropout
Here is a couple of notable geniuses that were not billionaires. They were rich with knowledge but not cash. They were high school dropouts.
Albert Einstein Thomas Edison
Hong Kong self-made billionaire Li Ka-Shing, worth $18.8 billion or so, is Asia’s richest man. He is also the richest Chinese in the world, and according to Forbes, the 10th richest man in the world.
When he was just 12 years old, Li and his family fled to Hong Kong when Japan invaded China. When he was 15, Liâ’s father died and he was forced to drop out of high school to support his family.
Li got his start as a salesman selling watches at his uncle’s store, and soon proved to be a diligent worker: he worked 16 hour days, visited customers during the day and worked at the factory at night. Determined to better himself, Li even found a tutor to teach him English every night!
When he was 21, Li opened a plastic manufacturing company and grew his business by selling high quality plastic flowers at bargain prices. When Li was 30, he accidentally got into real estate because he couldn’t renew the lease for his factory and was forced to purchase and develop a site himself.
From there, Li diversified into electronics, telecommunications, retails, ports, and even power and electricity. Li is also noted for his philantrophy: he gave millions to various universities and disaster-relief.
All in all, not bad for a high school drop-out.
Amancio Ortega.
Amancio Ortega was a son of a railway worker turned fashion-mogul and Spain’s richest man. He is worth $14.8 billion.
Ortega started out at the age of 14 as a gofer in a shirt store. At the age of 27, he started his own company to make bathrobes. Twelve years later, he opened his first store called Zara, which would become an enormously popular chain.
Ortega kept a very low profile (so much so that when he did make a public appearance in 2000, it made headlines in Spanish press!) but we’re guessing it’s not because this billionaire dropped out of high school.
François Pinault.
François who? You may not recognize the name, but you’ll definitely know his products: through his retail and luxury goods holding company PPR, Franasois Pinault owns (or has owned) Gucci, YSL, Converse sneakers, Samsonite luggage, the Vail ski resort in Colorado, and the auction house Christie’s.
But donâ’t tell the luxury goods buyers that Pinault is a high school dropout – just tell them he’s worth $7 billion.
David Murdock had a tough childhood – he dropped out of high school in ninth-grade and pumped gas until he was drafted into the Army.
Since then, however, life had worked out for him: Murdock did a leveraged buyout of Castle & Cooke, which then bought Dole Food Company and assumed its name.
So, next time you eat a Dole pinapple, remember that the guy that owns it was a high school drop out (and by buying the product, you’re making him that much richer than the $4 billion he’s currently worth)
Kirk Kerkorian.
Self-made billionaire Kirk Kerkorian was an amateur boxer (Rifle Right Kerkorina) and a pilot. At the age of 30, he got his start by buying a small air-charter service flying gamblers from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 1947.
Seeing opportunities in Las Vegas, Kerkorian bought land and got into the lucrative real estate / casino development. Since the 1960s, Kerkorian had bought (and sold) hot properties like the Caesars Palace, the Las Vegas Hilton, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, and others.
Kerkorian’s current fortune is estimated to be around $8.7 billion – not bad for someone who was a highschool dropout.
YC Wang.
Can you technically label someone a dropout if he never started high school to begin with? Dunno, but this is too remarkable not to mention.
Wait, there’s a billionaire here that never even set foot in high school?
Yes. That’s YC Wang, a self-made Taiwanese billionaire who made his fortune in plastics and chemicals. The octagenarian is now the head of Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics, one of the largest plastic manufacturers in the world.
Wang was born to a tea farmer and was forced to enter the work force with only an elementary school education.
He did well for himself, though – Wang is now worth $5.4 billion.
Virgin’s Richard Branson is worth $2.8 billion and that’s not too shabby for a guy who didn’t even finish high school.
Branson suffered from dyslexia and dropped out of high school at 16 years of age. What he lacked in schooling, however, he made up in curiosity and entrepreneur zeal – when he was 15, he had started two business ventures: growing Christmas trees and raising parrots!
When he was 17, Branson opened his first charity and started his first record business. Along with Nik Powell, Branson opened a small record store in London called Virgin. It specialized in krautrock imports.
Virgin became a veritable giant (branching out into things like airways, telecommunication and so forth) and Branson was knighted in 1999 for services to entrepreneurship.
More education doesn’t mean you’ll be more successful. It’s all about your drive. Your passion in life and sticking to it. Not necessarily playing it safe. I’ve meet many people that have played it safe, with a good job and such and then retire broke. Don’t play it safe. Go for it like these people have.
So, next time you want to call him a high school dropout, remember that it’s Sir high school dropout to you.
